Who we are
Vanessa
Hammond. Vanessa spent her childhood in Ireland, SE Asia,
Ireland, England, immigrated to Canada with children, Fiona and
Peter, in 1968. Vanessa taught, flew, established the business Canedex
in 1974, and Canadac in 1990. Through Canedex and Canadac, Vanessa
worked in over 40 countries, and exported to over 100 countries,
and lived in 12. Moving to BC in 1998 with Chris, life is now focused
on our 7 children, 10 grand-children, annual
pilgrimages to the Celtic countries, and our church and friends.
Chris Mather, spent his childhood in northern Ontario, loving
cross-country skiing and canoeing. Now retired from a career in
financial accounting with Federal and Provincial governments, and
some years in the ministry with the United Church of Canada, is
now assisting with co-op development. Now loves British Columbia.
The team. We enjoy working with others, and build
the specific team needed for each task. Our involvement with organic
agriculture and agri-food is led by Dave Friend of Friendly
Organics.
