Arts, Geography & History

Celtic history and geography span over three thousand years, originating close to the mouth of the Danube, later centred in the areas now known as Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Devon and Cornwall, the Isle of Man, Brittany, and Galacia.

The artistic and structural record extends from the Halstatt and La Téne areas over two thousand years ago,
through the megaliths of the pre-Christian era,
the awe-inspiring illuminated manuscripts created a thousand years ago, to today's wealth of literature, music and the visual arts.
